Hollee McNamara is a digital and traditional artist from the UK.

I’m Hollee, a country bumpkin based in the UK. As a kid I would draw constantly, copying old VHS covers and cartoon characters. I studied Art & Design at school but I hadn’t drawn anything for years until about a year ago when I started to get back into it.

I like experimenting with different mediums - paints, graphite, coloured pencils and more recently favouring pastels and charcoal. I occasionally work digitally, but I still prefer using traditional materials. I tend to favour portraiture, but I try and step out of that comfort zone to progress with other subjects.

Being on tumblr has really inspired me to keep going with my artwork, giving me a purpose to try and draw every single day and getting positive feedback and pointers for improvement. I hugely appreciate the support I have received over the last couple of months to strive to keep going!
